Mobile Application for the KṬP General Conference

Mobile App for KTP General Conference

Project Overview:

We had the distinct honor of developing and donating the official mobile application for the KṬP (Kristian Ṭhalai Pâwl) General Conference, the largest biennial youth conference in the region. Debuting at the 61st General Conference held in Saitual (2026), this cross-platform application (available on Android and iOS) was built to assist thousands of delegates in navigating the massive event. Engineered as a scalable, long-term digital infrastructure, the app was donated for free and is designed to be continuously utilized and adapted by host towns for all future KṬP General Conferences.

Scope of Work:

  1. Design and Development: We designed a highly intuitive, mobile-first interface catering to a massive user base of youth delegates. The mobile application was built using React Native to ensure flawless cross-platform performance on both Android and iOS, while a robust Laravel backend was developed to handle heavy API requests, real-time data syncing, and administrative content management. As part of the project rollout, we also designed a dedicated digital launching portal featuring animations and app store badges to drive early user adoption.
  2. Advanced Navigation & Counter Mapping: A standout feature of the application is the highly interactive “Counter” and “Maps” system. To solve the logistical challenge of delegates finding their designated accommodation and reception counters (e.g., CI Kawn, PCI Chhim Veng) in an unfamiliar town, we built a comprehensive directory. This includes a specialized AR/compass-style directional map calculating real-time distance and headings, complete with street-view photos, precise map pins, and direct calling capabilities to counter leaders.
  3. Real-Time Information Accessibility: The app serves as the central hub for the event, featuring dynamic modules for Thuthar (News) and the official Programme schedule. We also integrated a Lehkha Chhuak section for distributing official conference documents and publications directly to delegates’ phones.
  4. Crowd Management & Utility Features: To manage the logistics of the biennial gathering, we integrated several utility modules:
  5. Conference Chhim Zat: A live check-in counter allowing users to register their attendance (“Ka chhim ve”), giving organizers real-time data on crowd size.
  6. Bo & Chhar (Lost & Found): A dedicated digital bulletin board to quickly reunite attendees with lost belongings.
  7. Traffic & Town Info: Integrated traffic guidelines and a dedicated “Saitual Khaw Chanchin” section to familiarize visitors with the host town’s history and geography.

Results:

The KṬP General Conference App successfully digitized the event experience, significantly reducing the reliance on physical printouts and manual inquiries. The advanced compass navigation and real-time counter updates proved invaluable in directing the massive influx of vehicles and delegates across Saitual. By donating this comprehensive platform, we have provided the organization with a permanent, reusable technological foundation that will continue to streamline operations and enhance the delegate experience for future conferences.
